Desktop Publishing

Alida began creating newsletters for family in 1998.  She enjoys organizing material and incorporating pictures in text.  In the early days she worked with Adobe Pagemaker and Microsoft Publisher. Now she primarily uses Adobe Indesign and Microsoft Word.

Alida works closely with authors to produce a final printed product that is practical and satisfies their needs.  She makes sure that all fonts are consistent throughout the document and follows best practices for desktop publishing.

For the past 10 years, Alida has produced nearly all of the documents created for print at the Labor and Worklife Program, Harvard Law School.

Family Newsletter, 1995
Using Microsoft Publisher
"Alida handled the interior design and layout of my novel, More Than We Know, published by DayLily Press. She was dedicated and patient about attending to all the little details that made it look just the way I wanted. I had no experience with publishing software and was daunted by the prospect but Alida guided the manuscript into print with skill and care. Her primary motivation is to make her clients happy and she will work tirelessly to achieve that goal. I look forward to working with her again to publish my next book."
